Alexis Morgan
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco (born Alexandra Patricia Morgan (born Alexandra Patricia Morgan; 2 July 1989) is an American professional soccer player. She plays as captain and striker with San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) which is the top level of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team. She was a co-captain of the United States women’s national soccer team from 2018 to 2020 along with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. Following her early graduation from the University of California, Berkeley in which she played for the California Golden Bears, Morgan was selected as the top pick in the 2011 WPS Draft by the Western New York Flash. She made her debut in professional football and played in the team's win of the league championship. Morgan was 22 years old at the time and the youngest member of the national team for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team came in second. Morgan scored the game-winning goal against Canada in the 123rd minutes of the semi-final game at the 2012 London Olympics.
